Consumer Health Data

Sensitive personal data under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021

1. Purpose of this statement

This statement explains how Amira Saqer Advocates & Legal Consultants treats health-related information ("health data") that clients or prospective clients may share with us. It supplements, and should be read with, our Privacy Policy.

2. When health data may arise

In some matters, a client may choose to share health-related information so that we can assess and advance the matter — for example in medical-negligence claims, personal-injury and traffic-accident claims, work-injury and labour disputes, insurance claims, and certain family matters. This may include medical reports, diagnoses, or treatment records.

3. Health data is sensitive personal data

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), information relating to a person's physical or mental health is treated as "sensitive personal data" and is given a higher standard of protection. We handle any health data accordingly.

4. We do not collect health data through the website

This website does not collect health data automatically, and browsing the site does not reveal any health information about you. We only receive health-related information that you deliberately provide in connection with a legal matter — not through general browsing, and not through our contact form unless you choose to include it.

5. How we use and protect it

We use health-related information solely to provide the legal services you request. It is treated as strictly confidential under our professional duties, access is limited to those working on your matter, and it is stored securely.

6. Sharing

We share health-related information only where necessary to advance your matter — for example with medical experts, courts, or the relevant authorities — and where required by law, applying appropriate safeguards each time.

7. Your rights and retention

Subject to our legal and professional obligations, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, including health data, as set out in our Privacy Policy. We keep such information only for as long as it is needed for your matter and to meet our legal obligations.

8. Contact

For any question about how we handle health data, contact us at info@amirasaqeradvo.com or +971 50 869 4412, or write to Latifa Towers, Sheikh Zayed Road, Office B2207, Dubai, UAE.
